Gov. Gavin Newson’s recent revision to the proposed 2024-25 state budget threatens to cut housing services for homeless and disabled community members, according to a press release from the Alameda County Homeless Action Center, or HAC.

The proposed reappropriation would impact the funding for the Housing and Disability Advocacy Program, or HDAP, which has allowed HAC to expand its housing services to disabled, homeless and low-income clients in Alameda County. Read more…
