It’s time to rethink recruiting practices for people with disabilities

Employers need to rethink the way they view disabled applicants.


Necessary accommodations are not always given to disabled people. Therefore, when hiring a person with a disability, employers must take an empathetic approach and adjust their expectations to match the limitations people with disabilities have without proper accommodations. This can be achieved through providing a space in which disabled applicants can advocate for themselves and how their disability has affected their past performance. Read more…
