“It is important that what emerges from Gaza is not a discussion about disability or disability empowerment or reclamation of the disabled body, rather the descriptions – and this language is tough – of dismemberment, mutilation, torn flesh, amputation, starvation, emaciation, depression, suicidal ideation,” Puar said. “All of this should give us pause.”
