I can’t help but think that if more people in my day-to-day life knew what forced intimacy was and how to avoid doing it, I wouldn’t have had to extensively overshare how my hearing aids work to disprove their assumptions.

Instead of leaving student organizations to tackle this by themselves, the Office of the Dean of Students should offer resources on how to make events accessible and communicate with students with disabilities.
